Upper Back (Thoracic) Mobility Video - Part 2
A follow-up to last weeks video and a couple of lovely additional mobility exercises for the upper back.
Mobility of the upper back is hugely important in a variety of ways. Lack of mobility, therefore, can lead to a multitude of problems including lower back or neck pain, slumping shoulders when walking, sitting or standing, chest dropping when picking up heavy things. It can also lead to shoulder problems, lack of range of movement, rotator cuff aches and pains as well as problems in lower limbs.
If you sit a lot, at a desk, driving or commuting, and are experiencing aches and pains in shoulders, lower back or tightness in the upper back these mobility exercises are well worth trying. Start gently and remember to breathe.
